Course Description

CHC33021 Certificate III in Individual Support (Ageing), CHC33021 Certificate III in Individual Support (Disability), and CHC33021 Certificate III in Individual Support (Ageing + Disability) are all offered online. These nationally recognised qualifications provide learners with the skills necessary to work in a range of contexts in an individual support setting.

Studying Certificate III in Individual Support opens several career pathways to enrich and support individuals in the community, either living at home or in care. Completing this qualification will allow you to work under supervision and delegation as a part of a multi-disciplinary team, following an individualised plan to provide person-centred support to people who may require support due to ageing, disability or some other reason.

You will gain a range of factual, technical and procedural knowledge, as well as some theoretical knowledge of the concepts and practices required to provide person-centred support.

To achieve this qualification, you must complete at least 120 hours of work placement.

What you will learn

The CHC33021 Certificate III in Individual Support is used for learners transitioning into roles which specialise in providing care and support to individuals who due to ageing require care. Learners will develop the skills to follow an individualised care plan in a community or residential environment and use their judgement in a variety of situations as well as have knowledge of related theoretical, procedural and factual details.
